This website provides information about the Senior Softball Teams which play for Hawthorne at Leesburg.

The vast majority of our players are residents.

Hawthorne has been fielding softball teams since 2002.   Currently we have four teams, three in the Sun and Fun Senior Softball League and one in the Tri-County Golden Ladies Softball League.

Sun and Fun teams play on Tuesday and Friday.   The Tri-County Ladies team plays on Wednesday and Saturday.   All teams play from November to March.

This season, we have 69 players on our teams.     We are also fortunate to have 10 knowledgeable and experienced umpires available for the 53 games (two umpires per game) we expect to be played on our field.

In March of 2025, we hosted the Del Webb Invitational Tournament Division 6A playoffs. Six teams participated and played 9 games over 3 days.

The Softball Club includes all players, non-playing managers and coaches, and umpires.    Announcers, scorekeepers, scoreboard operators, Dugout Café volunteers, field upkeep workers, spouses/significant others are Auxiliary (non-voting) members.
